Competition rules

These are the rules of the Babalas Rescue Your Summer promotional competition ("the Competition"). By entering, you agree to these rules. They are available free of charge at https://win.babalasrescue.co.za/terms.

1. The promoter

  1. The Competition is run by [Promoter legal name] (Pty) Ltd, registration number [Company registration number], of [Physical address] ("the Promoter"), with [Agency legal name] operating the entry platform on its behalf.

2. Competition period

  1. The Competition runs from 07 Oct 2026, 00:00 to 28 Feb 2027, 23:59 (South African time). Purchases and entries outside this period do not qualify.

3. Who may enter

  1. The Competition is open to South African residents aged 18 or older with a valid South African mobile number.
  2. Directors, employees, agents and consultants of the Promoter, its advertising and promotional agencies, the Competition's suppliers, and their spouses, life partners, business partners and immediate family may not enter.

4. How to enter

  1. Buy any 2 or more products from the Babalas Rescue+ range (including Babalas Rescue+ Energy, Hangin' Rescue+ and Rescue+ sachets/sticks) in a single transaction at any South African retailer.
  2. Scan the QR code on the promotional material (or visit https://win.babalasrescue.co.za) and follow the prompts on WhatsApp, or use the online entry form, and submit a clear photo of the till slip.
  3. Entry is free. Standard data or messaging rates charged by your network for using WhatsApp or the internet apply.
  4. Each qualifying till slip counts as one entry. You may enter as many times as you like with different qualifying till slips, up to 10 slips per day.
  5. Each till slip may be entered only once. Duplicate, altered, illegible, incomplete or fraudulent slips are disqualified.
  6. Entries are checked automatically and, where needed, by a person. The Promoter's decision on the validity of an entry is final.

5. Prizes

  1. The prizes are: 10 × JBL Bluetooth speaker (retail value approx. R2 500 each), 100 × Babalas Rescue+ bucket hat (retail value approx. R250 each) and 20 × Babalas Rescue+ summer hamper (retail value approx. R500 each). Total prize value approx. R60 000.
  2. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Promoter may substitute a prize of similar value if a prize becomes unavailable.
  3. Each person may win only one prize during the Competition.

6. Draws and winners

  1. Winners are selected at random from all valid entries using an auditable electronic draw, under the supervision of [Independent auditor / attorney]. Draw dates: [draw dates].
  2. Winners will be contacted on WhatsApp and/or by phone on the number used to enter. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 7 days, or does not meet these rules, the prize is forfeited and a new winner is drawn.
  3. Winners must present the original till slip and valid identification to claim a prize. Prizes are delivered within [30] days of verification to an address in South Africa.
  4. Winners' names will only be published with their consent.

7. General

  1. The Promoter may disqualify any entry or entrant that breaches these rules or that it reasonably suspects of fraud, and may suspend or end the Competition if required by circumstances beyond its control, subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
  2. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are not received because of network, technical or WhatsApp outages.
  3. Personal information is processed as set out in the privacy notice. Records of the Competition are kept for 3 years as required by law.
  4. These rules are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The Promoter may amend them, with notice on this page.
